Event Time:

Event Location:

Hal 60

The Clintel Foundation, founded in 2019 by Guus Berkhout and Marcel Crok, has been around for five years this year. An excellent opportunity to organize our first real conference on Tuesday, June 18 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Roelofarendsveen.
For those who can't be there all day we offer the afternoon program with this ticket for only 30 euros. The afternoon program is entirely in English. More about the conference and the program below.

The enthusiastic American climate researcher comes especially for this occasion Willie Soon to the Netherlands. Anyone who follows the climate debate at all probably knows Willie Soon. In 2003, he was one of the first researchers to be critical of Michael Mann's infamous hockey stick graph. Soon and his colleague Sallie Baliunas knew it. Baliunas talks about this episode in the recently released film Climate: The Movie.

Willie Soon is originally an astrophysicist, but is now mainly a climate researcher, specializing in the role of the sun on climate. He was for many years (1991-2022) at the Solar, Stellar and Planetary Sciences Division of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics in Boston. In 2018, Soon started the Center for Environmental Research and Earth Sciences together with Irish father and son Michael and Ronan Connolly (Ceres Science). In December 2023, he gained more international fame through a interview with Tucker Carlson. Soon is very active scientifically. An overview of his work can be found in this document.

The rest of the afternoon program is just as interesting. The Swedish researcher Jacob Nordangard will take you through his research into the historical forces behind the climate agenda, about which he has now written two books.
Theo Wolters should of course not be missed. He will discuss the costs of nuclear energy.
Gregory Wrightstone will talk about his recent book A very Convenient Warming, which will also be presented in Dutch during the conference (A welcome warming)

The afternoon program is in English.
A fantastic program that you absolutely must attend.
