Rob Roos
Rob Roos is a Dutch entrepreneur who had several companies in the energy and telecom sector. After sold the most and was financially independent, he decided to go into politics. First he became a provincial state member in South Holland, later he was in the European Parliament for five years, first on behalf of Forum for Democracy and later on behalf of JA21. From his position in the European Parliament, he was able to build a huge global network. Roos was known for his critical attitude towards the European Union, in particular with regard to climate policy and the limitations of national sovereignty. During his term, he argued for economic freedom, less regulation and the preservation of traditional values. He was also pronounced against the centralization of power in Brussels and called for a pragmatic approach to energy and migration issues. Roos is currently no longer affiliated with any party and not politically active.
